The Chester Lions Club installed its new slate of officers at the La Strada Restaurant, Route 10 in Randolph on June 17, 2010. This year the new president of the club is Bernie Anger, a Life Member of the club who has received numerous awards of excellence including the highly prized Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for outstanding service. A resident of Chester Township, Bernie will be the 41st president of the club. He plans to continue the mission of Lionism, to serve the community, fostering a spirit of understanding among all people through community involvement and cooperation. He will be jointed on the executive committee by Secretary Richard Lucy of Plainsboro and Treasurer Elizabeth Anger of Chester. During his administration, Mr. Anger will participate in the Lions Club Oktoberfest, which will take place on Sept 25th and 26th this year at Chubb Park. The event allows the club to donate funds to individuals, and local, national and international organization in need. In previous years, the club has donated to local Fire Departments, First Aid Squads, Churches and Synagogues, Police Departments and numerous charitable organizations. The Chester Lions Club is dedicated to helping those in need. For further information please contact Phil Savell at 908 879 6543 or visit our website at Chesterlionsclub.com.
