The officers, directors, and members of the Chester Lions Club are united in one purpose; to serve the community and its citizens. The Club encompasses both the Chesters (Township and Borough) and Long Valley. Since the founding of the Chester Lions (district 16E) in 1969; our efforts have been dedicated to helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
In that light we have members on committees devoted to health and welfare, eye and ear care, and assistance to needy families. In addition, we allocate resources to local schools for drug awareness education and give scholarships to students. We fund many hospitals, health and support organizations.
The club's major fund raiser is the Oktoberfest held each year at Chubb Park.
